When Aishwarya endorsed Nakshatra dimond jewellery

The latest fashion in the marketing is film stars endorsing the brand products. Devdas queen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan may no longer be the the face of brands like 'Coca-Cola' and 'Nakshatra' diamond jewellery in India, but Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is still riding high on success with long-standing international endorsements.

Aishwarya

Taking its association forward with one of the most beautiful women on the earth, the Nakshatra range of diamond jewellery when teamed up with the ethereal Aishwarya Rai, the best names in the industry have contributed to the making of the Nakshatra commercial. Hemant Trivedi (costumes) to give Aishwarya a celestial look, Shiamak Davar (choreography), Gulzar (lyrics) and the music by Buddha Bar Mixes go well with special effects done at Smoke and Mirrors, one of the best studios in London.

Diamonds are definitely the flavour of the season. It is obvious that dressing up and flaunting diamond accessories will never go out of style. Diamond jewellery is the only accessory that adds that tinge of sparkle to any ensemble. Pairing of diamonds with right outfits creates a look that defines elegance and style, adding that extra sparkle for a perfectly finished look.

Preity Zinta's Fashion Funda

Indian actress Preity ZintaImage via Wikipedia

Preity Zinta is a youth icon for style and when she appeared on the Vogue magazine cover (Bible for fashion) it just proved the point. Here is Preity Zinta's Fashion Funda deciphered for you...

Preity’s Style

Preity’s style funda is that of using sleek skirts and evening gowns for the parties and for the casual wear use T-shirts (with wordings on it) teamed with jeans. Preity is known for her fancy tops, which have a class of their own, such as a tube top teamed with jeans and fisherman’s cap. Well...in person she adorns westerns more but she looked great in Indian outfits in movies like Veer Zara.

Preity uses light coloured lip gloss rather than dark ones and gives special care to the hair. Preity Zinta is known for her style statements especially with her hair. She likes it straight...what happened in Lakshya, can;t say. But she looked gorgeous in Dil Chahta Hai. Along with that give it a good cut, just like hers. Preity gives extra attention to her accessories, such as she fuses ethnic jewellery with western wear, and she sees to it that it goes completely with her dress.

B-Town Boys bond over denims

Indian actor Saif Ali Khan with girlfriend/act...Image via Wikipedia

Guess what all the B-Town boys of Bollywood including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Akshay Kumar, Shahid Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Rampal and Riteish Deshmukh are bonding over this season? It’s their beloved denims.

Summers are back with a bang and as the mercury rises, distressed jeans is the ‘hottest’ trend on the fashion circuit.

Everyone who’s anyone is flaunting their torn jeans and, boy, do they look sexy! “It’s a very cool and well-loved style after all,” points out Bollywood’s favourite designer Shabina Khan. “The basic point is to look hot. Torn jeans give men a macho look while making women look very sexy,” she adds.

Agreeing with Shabina, designer Surily Goel says, “Frayed jeans give the wearer a nice, relaxed feel, especially considering the season. Teamed with a plain white shirt or T-shirt, it makes for an ultra trendy look.”

And summer’s not the only excuse. The current economic meltdown too has to some degree influenced the resurgence of this trend. Designer Narendra Kumar points out that the grunt look was the fashion statement that really stood out during the last recession in the 80s.

“This is a more updated version of that grunt look. It’s, in fact, a pleasant mix of the 80’s style fashion — which, incidentally, is also totally in vouge right now — and the grunt look,” he explains.

Adding to this, designer Shahid Aamir says the distressed jeans are a pleasant change from the well-tailored dressing norm. “Frayed jeans on a sexy body are definitely a fashion statement. It’s all about the attitude,” he adds.

If you’re one of those who thinks this too is a fashion fad that will fade away in just a few months, you’re mistaken. While most designers think this is an eternally classic style...it is here to stay!!!
