In the year 2005, Asin was entitled with South Filmfare Award for Best Actress in her Tamil movie Ghajini where in she played the lead role. Charming Beauty Asin made her Bollywood debut with the movie Ghajini, in the year 2008. The flick was a remake of of its Tamil namesake wherein she played the role of Kalpana. Her wonderful performance brought her Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. In Ghajini , she appeared with Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan.

You would be amazed to know that, Noted critic Taran Adarsh describes her Hindi debut as "fabulous". He praised Asin by by saying that, she looks fresh and photogenic and acts her part brilliantly. Sweet and Charming girl Asin then appeared in Vipul Shah's London Dreams, other starscast of the movie was Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan. Asin played a member of a five-troupe band in the movie. Presently, the actress is looking forward for her upcoming movie 'Ready' with Salman Khan.

It was a show highlighting two highly fashionable items — the Škoda
Superb and Bollywood’s favourite designer Manish Malhotra’s

proudly announced Manish Malhotra’s glamourous ensemble ‘Superb’.

The Skoda Superb with its advanced styling in addition to its time
tested quality and reliability is the official car of the Lakme
Fashion Week this season. Manish Malhotra embodies the tenets of what
Skoda believes in — trend setting, style and quality.

Talking about his collection, Manish said, “It’s all about luxury
inspired by tradition.” Manish made ample use of pastel colours
including ivory, champagne, beige, sand, peach and coral in this
collection. When asked about the recession, the designer said he has
reduced the prices of his garment. “But the quality remains just the
same,” he said adding that recession or not, if a collection is
wearable, it will definitely sell.

The showstoppers were the beautiful Genelia D’Souza and the spruce
looking Tusshar Kapoor. “Though I was slightly nervous at first the
whole experience was a fantastic one,” said Genelia. On Manish’s front
row were the beautiful Sridevi who came in with her daughter in a
beautiful black outfit like Raveena Tandon did. Deepika Padukone, Asin
and Reitesh Deshmukh were also among present.

A shoulder injury may have Shah Rukh Khan in a sling, but that doesn't
mean he believes in staying at home and vegetating. On the fourth day
of the Lakme Fashion Week, he decided he would walk the ramp for
Manish Malhotra - and that was the USP of the show.

LFW 2009

Lakme Fashion Week is the premiere event in India for what’s hot in
fashion. The show takes place twice a year to show off the coolest new
designs for all four seasons is under way and has set the graph high
for the world of fashion with new and creative designs that doesn’t
compromise wear ability. The show started on Friday and will end
today; saying good-bye to March in style.

Designers who showed off some creative designs included Vikram
Phadnis, Wendell Rodricks, Vivek Kumar, Atit Bhatt, Anand Bhushan,
Tanvi Kedia, Abdul Haldar, Ruchi Mehta, Niak, Jyoti Sharma, and
Archana Kochar. And of course there was Manish Malhotra who drew some
of Bollywood’s finest including Deepika Padukone, Asin, and Anushka
Sharma, Shahrukh Khan. They just couldn’t wait to get a taste of what
the designer had for this year.
