FASHION REWIND: The 15th Annual Critics' Choice Awards

The 15th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards gala aired live for the third straight year on VH1 on January 15, 2010 at 9:00PM ET/PT.The awards are bestowed annually by the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) to honor the finest in cinematic achievement. Since its inception in 1995, the Critics' Choice Movie Awards has been a star-studded bellwether event of the awards season and historically, the most accurate predictor of the Academy Award nominations.

The BFCA is the largest film critics' organization in the United States and Canada, representing more than 200 television, radio and online critics. Emmy and Tony Award winning actress Kristin Chenoweth took the stage at the Hollywood Palladium as the host of the live event.

The action starts with the red carpet, let's be real. Yea, congrats to "Avatar" and "Inglorious Bastards" for their win, but I am here to tell you who was a Fashion Dream and who needs a WAKE UP call from their Fashion Nightmare. Here we go, . . .so many lovely ladies and gents, how will I choose?

1. LOVE DRUNK. The incredibly charming and handsome, Bradley Cooper steals the 1st spot of Best Dressed for me. Not only is the man dapper in his duds, but a dreamboat when it comes to down-to-earth. The classic white dress shirt and black three-piece Prada ensemble looks sensational. Who knew that our dirty-sexy Hangover friend could clean up this well?

2. JUST TO BE BLUNT. Hitting the red carpet, the Best Actress nominee, Emily Blunt gleams in a silver beaded Georges Chakra Couture dress with a scalloped hem and an Irit Design ring. But maybe her best accessory of the night was her dashing fiancé, John Krasinski (not pictured). Emily continues to elevate her fashion standards and let's be real, this devilish fashionista definitely does wear Prada!

3. LOVELY BONES. The Best Young Actress award winner, Saoirse Ronan won for her brilliant role in The Lovely Bones. She wore a multi-colored sequin embellished shift dress with cute gold bootlets. The gracious starlet thanked her parents for their love & support which was very refreshing. Big things on the horizon for Ms. Ronan who is a sure-thing for an award in March. Some say she has a big date with Oscar!

4. LIVE LONG & FASHIONABLE. This should be the motto for Hollywood hottie, Zoe Saldana who lit up the red carpet in a gorgeous white cocktail dress by Jason Wu. The 31-year-old actress’ latest movie Avatar won for Best Action Movie, beating out District 9, The Hurt Locker, Inglourious Basterds and Star Trek. She was adorned in ack Vartanian jewels — 18kt white gold turquise and diamond earrings and 18kt white beryl and diamonds rings.

5. BEAM ME UP, HOTTIE. Taking 5 on the list is a tie, between co-stars of Star Trek, Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto. Both men looking handsome and perfectly put together in their phenomenal suits. Quinto showing off the hottest trend in men's suiting for 2010 in the grey suit with a dark dress shirt and fun tie, while Pine opts for the contrasting lapel and suit combo that suits him just fine!

And then there the FASHION NIGHTMARES that even Anna Wintour would agree upon. It's a new year, Hollywood, someone should've asked for a STYLIST for Christmas! Before I get to the fash-tastrophes, I will give a MOST IMPROVED award to the sensational Sandra Bullock. She is trying. Still not in love with this dress, because last award season you made my Best Dressed list, so it can be done! We know you have an edge since you are married to bad-boy Jesse James, but this hodge-podge of a dress is a better silhouette on your cute figure, just a little too chaotic. Even the fashion critics would agree, less is more! Nice try, we have Golden Globes, SAG, and Oscars, we have faith you are going to iron out all your fashion blunders by then!

FASH-TASTROPHES.

WOW.  Who do you think was a SHOCKER on the red carpet?

WHY. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. The When in Rome star, Kristen Bell was a presenter at the show and stuck to all black from Prada, from her sleek silk V-neck dress to her peep-toe heels and clutch. A bit boring for Ms. Bell, who usually dazzles on the carpet. A little disappointed that she would go this mellow for this event. We are hoping she kicks it up a few notches for the rest of award season.

WHOA. Who made you say WHOA on the carpet?

WHOOPS. Who made a fashion no-no?

WHAT WAS HE/SHE THINKING?  Who needs serious style help?

I want your input. Comment, email me, let me know!
