Little more wedding talk
So i was eagerly awaiting the kiss yesterday, but just as i thought it would be: it was quick, like very short. But i thought it was really cute how they were talking first and then kissing. They were probably like: Uhm well should we get over with it? Hm yeah, lets just do it.. ha!
I actually wanted to share a couple more pictures with y'all:
I am always quite fascinated with the hats, and really wish they were popular over here!
This one was a particularly special example, i thought. My Roomie said it remined her of Robin Hoods Hat :)
Oh, and the shoes are quite something too.
These two actually are my favorite Royal couple. Maxima is just such a beautiful lady inside and outside. She alway has this huge warm and open smile laugh on her face.
Are y'all ready for those twos wedding in a couple of months? I thought Charlene Wittstock looked quite stunning in that simple grey dress.
Couldn't find a better pic of the Beckhams. But its enough to see those shoes. How can she walk on those??? Beeing pregnant?? The dress doesn't seem to be really pretty either. Though David looks quite dashing.
I absolutely loooved Pippas dress {and her name}! That is a dress i would take into consideration when choosing a wedding dress! She looked so beautiful!
A hat fit for Icarus
When I'm looking to buy a hat top of my list of requirements is that by wearing it I could potentially blind someone close by. Luckily for me, Maria Francesca Pepe has designed a piece of headwear perfect for that very cause.
Although I am perplexed about the wearability factor of that particular piece, the rest of Pepe's collection is simple yet effective. I like clean lines, I like block colours and I like clothing with shape. This collection has all three. Inspiration is supposed to have come from 19th century French prostitutes, but I'm sure there must have been more ruffles involved back then. The seductive fabrics are due to Pepe's Italian roots, which is lucky really since the velvets and silks stop the cuts from being overly harsh.
I'm not so sure about the lilac lipstick - it's a bit Peaches Geldof for my liking - but the combination of the simple dress and geometric brooch makes for an interesting outfit. Effortlessly cool rather than being too showy.
This season is all about the shoulder, dahling. There's still a part of me that screams "Dynasty" everytime I see a shoulder pad, but as I personally am lacking in the shoulder-department I do feel myself drawn to the sillouette - just so long as big hair and dream sequences aren't coming back too!
C for Ciara...

Rachel Bilson’s Summer Style
Rachel Bilson has style all of her own. She knows how to dress every single time, wherever she goes and I can’t say that I’ve seen her in anything horrible. She doesn’t do anything over the top, and she keeps it simple and feminine.
In this picture, (sorry its old ie 2007- but Ilove it) Rachel’s showing off her long legs with this fabulous summer outfit. A pair of tight not-so-short but still short shorts, a white tee, a long sweater over, and a cute pair of shoes with a little heel. Absolutely perfect, in my opinion, and it looks great on her.
These shorts are very easy to work with because they’re not super short, but they’re also not bermudas- they’re in between and that’s what makes them so versatile. Of course, if you’re not too proud of your legs don’t wear tight shorts like that, but instead try something more loose.
The sweater over the outfit gives it a simple, comfy, look. It also makes the outfit look wearable pretty much anywhere, unlike other celebrity outfits.
Her glasses look gorgeous on her, and I like that she added the shell necklace as an accessory, it goes very well with the whole look.

William and Kate: 'da wedding
So, did y'all watch the Royal wedding today?
I sure did! (Actually i still kinda am; still waiting for that kiss :)
I kinda wasn't really feeling it. It seemed kinda unpersonal and not very romantic. But i guess that's always been the problem with the British Royals. Anyway i usually only watch those things because of the dress anyways :)
And the dress was kinda pretty. Not something i would choose. But it was really classy. And i keep thinking that all those royal brides don't really coose a dress that they would wear if they weren't getting married to a real Prince.
But what i first thought when seeing the dress, was that it seemed somehow familiar...
What do you think?

2011 Fall London Fashion Week: Vivienne Westwood
Vivienne Westwood can pretty much do whatever she wants these days, as her pieces are always amazing. This season, she chose to present at the Royal Courts of Justice, which is such a beautiful, grand location and provided the perfect contrasting backdrop for her rebellious designs.
She was inspired by Londoners and tried to incorporate elements of their lives. There was a very British feel with plenty of tartan and woolen pieces all in her signature asymmetric cut. Looks were layered up and teamed with big, messy hair. There were some crowns created with hair, adding to the chaotic feel. Louis Carroll's Through the Looking Glass was also cited as inspiration. I am not surprised that this surreal book appeals to Vivienne's eclectic style! She used a range of fabrics including wool, velvet, and cotton.
- Trends: Heritage, statement outerwear, clashing prints.
- Colours: Many, but red was key.
- Accessories: Knee-high socks, elbow-length gloves, silk scarves.
- Key look: Multicoloured feather jacket with sequined pencil skirt.
- Who would wear this: Fans of Westwood, those who like interesting shapes.
